ブエノスアイレスのDISTANTEの新作。コロナ禍からスタートし、今ではアルゼンチンのsxeハードコアシーンで絶大な影響力を持つまでに至った彼らが、今までのEP中心から初のフルアルバム尺でのリリース。曲数が増した事により、Youth Of TodayやINSTED等々のサウンドの細部を練りに練り上げたアレンジが鮮烈で、2020年のデビュー作と比較すると、芯の強さを確立させたvo..の勢いが増した事により、名実共に国内ナンバーワンの説得力が明確になっている。ハードコアは若気の至りではなく、生活を共にする欠かせないライフラインだという事を常に学ばせてもらっている。
The new release from DISTANTE out of Buenos Aires. Formed during the pandemic, they’ve since grown into one of the most influential bands in Argentina’s straight edge hardcore scene. After focusing mainly on EPs up to this point, they’ve finally delivered their first full-length album.
With more songs to work with, their meticulously crafted arrangements bring out every detail of the sound of bands like Youth Of Today and INSTED, making a striking impression. Compared to their 2020 debut, the vocals have gained even more momentum, backed by a firmly established sense of conviction. The result makes it clearer than ever why they deserve to be called Argentina’s number one band, both in name and in substance.
