GREYAREAの単独作としては26年ぶりとなるアルバム。西海岸型メロディックパンクにNYHCを掛け合わせた正真正銘のメロディックハードコアは衰え知らずの骨太クオリティ。7曲目の"Anxious"はDr..の故Vinnie Value(WARZONE,NO REDEEMING SOCIAL VALUE、KILL YOUR IDOLS)が書いた、眠れぬ夜の不安、ハードコアのライブに行く事で得られる帰属意識などをテーマにした曲。この事から彼や自分たちの作品が風化し、単なる記号になってしまわないよう、生活に於ける様々な経験や喪失を直接的に伝えるために、再び演奏する契機になったのが伺える。単なる"メロコア"では無い。GREYAREAはどこまでもハードコアだ。

GREYAREA’s first standalone album in 26 years. Their genuine melodic hardcore, fusing West Coast-style melodic punk with NYHC, has lost none of its power or substance. The seventh track, “Anxious,” was written by the late drummer Vinnie Value (WARZONE, NO REDEEMING SOCIAL VALUE, KILL YOUR IDOLS). It deals with the anxiety of sleepless nights and the sense of belonging found at hardcore shows. The song also offers a glimpse into what brought them back to playing music: a determination not to let Vinnie or their own work fade into history and become mere symbols, but to directly convey the experiences and losses that are part of everyday life. This is far more than just “melocore.” GREYAREA are hardcore through and through.
