NYロチェスターのScarlett Evening。リフの強靭さやアグレッシブな中に叙情性を兼ね備えた装いに、日本人としてはどうにもlike state craftと形容してしまうのが悪い癖。でも単純に類似系でもメタルコアと一口に括るに止まるわけでもなく、前述の"強度"の練り上げ方がこのバンドは尋常では無く、積み重ねてきた歴史を少しづつ更新していく真摯な姿勢が音に現れており、このバンドは「ハードコア」だと断言できる。非常にハイクオリティの作品。

SCARLETT EVENING from Rochester, New York. With their incredibly powerful riffs and a sound that combines raw aggression with a strong sense of emotion, I have a bad habit, as a Japanese hardcore listener, of describing bands like this as “like STATE CRAFT.” But SCARLETT EVENING are far more than just another band in that vein, and simply calling them metalcore doesn’t do them justice either. The way they develop and refine that sheer intensity is extraordinary. You can hear their sincere dedication to gradually pushing forward the history that hardcore has built over the years, one step at a time. That’s why I can say without hesitation that this band is HARDCORE. An exceptionally high-quality release.
